3. Burngreave
Despite falling within the top 20% of South Yorkshire’s most deprived areas, Burngreave, an inner-city suburb of Sheffield, is known for its strong sense of community spirit. 4. Manor Castle
This eastern ward, consisting of areas like Claywood, Manor, Manor Park, Park Hill and Wybourn, reported 3,052 crimes and a crime rate of 147 per 1,000 people. Violence and criminal damage are prevalent, with an average of 64 crimes committed weekly.
5. Firth Park
Located north of the city, this family-oriented suburb saw 2,643 crimes, with a crime rate of 145 per 1,000 people. Violence and sexual offences were the most common, followed by criminal damage and public disorder.
